Week 27 - Great Company, Great Fishing, Great Memories
Sorry everyone – we've been a little quiet on the blog lately, but we're back!
Looking back at Week 27, it's hard not to smile. It was one of those weeks that reminds us why we love spending time on the river bank.
Fishing is, of course, what brings us all together, but the best moments are about so much more than the number of fish landed.
For Pekka, Ilkka, Sami, Richard, Patrick, and Shaun, Week 27 will be remembered for a long time.
One of the hardest things to predict in salmon fishing is when the fish will decide to take a fly. Most of our guests book their trip nearly a year in advance, and the truth is that no one can promise what the river will be like when they arrive.
Why? Because this is a huge river system, and so many factors come into play—water level, water temperature, weather conditions, and, perhaps most importantly, the mood of the salmon themselves.
Sometimes you simply have to be lucky.
This week, luck was on our side.
Everyone in the group experienced great fishing. Some landed, others lost but the river gave us unforgettable memories all week.
Even more encouraging is seeing the river finally starting to produce good numbers of salmon again. It's something we've all been waiting for, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that the rest of the season continues in the same direction.
Thank you guys, for a fantastic week. It was a pleasure sharing the river with you, and we hope to see you all back again.
Tight lines!
