Week 26 Finally

First fish is always special

After a few weeks with lost fish and no one on land it happened this week. It is a special feeling to land fish with our guests and even more special to see the smile on their faces and light in their eyes.

Fishing always makes you smile

Our early season has been special. A few, but big fish. Then low water and warm weather stayed for some time, so the water kept dropping and fishing was slow, but we kept on going and swinging our flies. It is a lottery when you book a week’s fishing one year in advance and in such a big system like Torne river many things can happen and we never know how the weeks will be a year later.

Diego with a baltic salmon

Once again we had action in the faster running water and we had many contacts. First to land a fish was Diego who landed a smaller fish, but those ones gave a good fight in the fast water.

Peter with a fantastic trout

The day after Richard landed his first fish in the week with a 82 cm fish from the fast water. It is always nice to land a fish in the first part of the week and feel some of the pressure leaving your shoulders.

Then Patrick had some good days. First with a dream fish at 111 cm. What a fish to land in difficult conditions and then shortly after a 82 cm fish from the same place. Fantastic days for Patrick. Huge congrats to you with your big baltic salmon.

Richard was the guy behind the two last fish from this week. a great 102 cm fish and an 89 cm to close the week.

At the end of the week our guests landed six fish and lost many. It is really nice that we find some fish in these difficult conditions and they want to strike our flies.

Thank you Richard, Patrick, Shaun, Peter, Gulliermo & Diego for a great week. See you next year.

Now we are looking at another exciting week. The weather is getting colder and we cross fingers for more fish to enter our pools.

Tight lines!
