Finally it's time to swing flies again.

All the preparation for three months with full speed. Guests from all over the world will come to visit Kengis Bruk season and we are ready to welcome everyone.

We started the season with intro days together with Kiruna fishing guide school. A few days where we looked at baltic salmon fishing, how to be a guide, how to run a fishing operation and how to to prepare the lodge for the season.

Such a big help for us and we are happy to be a part of the education of the future fishing guides.

And then! Finally ready to take the first cast and fingers crossed for a good start!

In the early morning 1st june Ville and Aslak went down to continue the hunt of the first fish of the season and what a start we got.

Aslak managed to hook and land a stunning 107cm baltic salmon in really good condition. And Ville was ready with the net. And he got to learn that quite often the salmon is not ready the first time you try to net it and I think Ville got a little surprised by the size of it.

After some more preparation it was time to do some fishing again and Aslak was once more lucky to hook into a fresh baltic salmon.

Now we knew the fish was there and we kept on fishing.

Lars joined us for an evening run and what a way to celebrate his 20th anniversary.

He saw the fish entering the pool and after a small break this 105cm baltic salmon took his fly. In many ways it was a special day for Lars and we are sure he will remember this one for a long time.

New merch 2025

We have worked on new merchandise for 2025 and we are super happy to show our new prints, colours & cap.

In addition to the new merch we have teamed up with the Baltic salmon fund and agreed that 10% of all sales from the new goodies will be donated to the fund.
