Week 33 - Finally

Maybe the most used sentence when salmon fishing. Finally a fish, finally good numbers, finally good weather, finally i am sitting next to the fire on a riverbank, there are many finallies when salmon fishing.

This week was finally some more action and another finally, but we will come back to that later.

We welcomed Christofer, Anders, Christian, Thomas, Dan and Simon. Some new and some good old friends, but all ready for a good week!

As we described in our last blog we have seen some more grilse this year and they showed up in better numbers this week!

So that was the first finally for us; More fish coming into the pools!

Then Christofer managed to land a Kengis salmon again. another finally for him with a few tough years up north.

And our new friend Thomas managed to land two grilse in the last week, so all in all a good week with good action in all pools at Kengis

And then back to one more finally!

Simon managed to land his first Kengis Bruk Baltic salmon. He is such a great guy and fish and cast super well, over the past years he has just been unlucky, but this time it happened.

A good sized grilse took his fly and he felt the power of a Baltic salmon. Even the small ones fight quite hard.

Such a relief for him and so nice to see long term guests finally getting paid off for all the hours spent in the water.

That is just great!

Now we are looking into the last weeks of the season and hopefully we will see some fish start to get stationary and be ready for some good late season fishing.

Thank you for a great week and see you guys back next year!
